No. Start with Gmail or Outlook. You can be sending in 2 minutes. Amazon SES is the better choice if you are sending at volume because it is cheaper and gives you your own sending infrastructure. But you can start with what you have and switch later.

Gmail or Outlook is fine to start. It takes 2 minutes and costs nothing extra. Amazon SES makes sense when you are sending thousands of emails a month. It is cheaper per email and gives you dedicated sending infrastructure that no one else shares. You can switch whenever you are ready.

What happens after the 7-day trial?

Pick a plan and keep going. If it is not the right fit, just stop. No charge, no awkward cancellation flow. Anything in your AWS account or your sending domain stays yours regardless.

Why is the pricing different from other tools?

Accepted Answer

Most tools charge you more as you send more. Per email, per seat, per contact. EmailQo charges a flat monthly fee. Send 10,000 emails or 500,000, the price does not change. If you use Amazon SES, they bill you directly for sending costs. Around $0.10 per 1,000 emails. We never take a cut of that.
